======Crest Waitlist====== The Valhalla Project is using a new waitlist system built and maintained by Aygo Swagtomo. Where the old wait list functions primary using the old and now removed In Game Browser with basic added crest functionality the new waitlist is designed around crest using it to function as efficiently as possible. This guide is aimed at explaining how the new waitlist works, and is here to answer questions you may have. =====What is the Purpose of the Waitlist====== The Waitlist is a tool used by The Valhalla Project, it is aimed at helping our FCs more efficiently manage fleet invites. You can think of it as a **digital queue system**. The waitlist does this by letting pilots x-up with fits and roles they are willing to take, giving the FC a list of those pilots in the order they waitlist up in, and then has a two click - invite function. =====Using the Waitlist===== //This section is aimed at public pilots, for FC info click <wrap em>[[fc:crestwaitlist|FC Waitlist Guide]]</wrap> - **Note: FC wiki access required to view that guide.**// ====Sections of the Waitlist==== The new user interface has four sections for use by public members: * Character Information Section (Dark blue section on the right hand side of the waitlist - login/out) * Fleet Status Section (Green or Red section on the left hand side of the waitlist - Shows if a fleet is active, who the FCs are what system the FC is in, status of the fleet, and the size of the waitlist.) * Waitlist Section (Light Blue section in the center of the waitlist - allows you to select roles, see your position in the waitlist and test your teamspeak poke (if you have waitlisted) and write a comment to the FC) * Manage fits (Dark blue section at the bottom - add and remove fits) ====Character Information===== ===Login=== //Dark blue box on the right of the waitlist. Allows a user to log in, view their permission set (User/Fleet Admin) and log out.// - Click the log in CREST button - This will re-direct you to the Eve Online website, from here login with the account and password associated with the character you wish to use. The log in happens on the CCP servers and is authenticated by CCP. We do not get any of this information all account data is protected by CCP under the EULA. - Select your character - on the **Authorize** page, you can select your character by clicking on the name of the character that shows up, and selecting the name of the character you wish to log in as. Please note if you log in with the wrong character we will not be able to invite you to fleet. - **__Grant the required scopes:__** * characterCloneRead - allows us to view your implant set (if applicable) * characterLocationRead - allows us to view what system the character you log in with is in. This way we do not invite you to fleet if you are not near by * characterNavigationWrite - allows you to set your autopilot destination to the FC's system by clicking in the system name on the public page. * characterSkillsRead - allows us to view your skills and check them against our skill requirements, this eliminates the need for pilots to make and give us access to their Eveboards. You are now logged in, you can confirm what character you logged in with by looking at your character portrait and name. ===Log out=== If you have logged in with the wrong character or you wish to waitlist up with a different character click the **Log Out** button next to your character name on the **Character Info** section of the waitlist. === User Settings === This feature is mainly for TVP FCs, it allows you to link your alt accounts to your main. For line members you may want to do this so all of your fleet statistics are linked. To link alt accounts to your main, log in to the wait list with the character you wish to be known as your TVP Main pilot. Then click the **add character** button. You will be redirected to the CCP Auth servers where you need to log in and select your character. This will link your character to your main thus shearing any permissions your main has with your alts. ====Fleet Status===== This box has two states, if a fleet is running the box will be green, be titled "Fleet Up" and will list the following information: * FC - The person in charge of the fleet * Backseat - The FC who is overseeing a training FC * System - The system the fleet is in * Status - the status of the fleet * Waitlist Info: * DPS - number of people and wait time * Snipers - number of people and wait time * Logistics - number of people and wait time If there are no active fleets running on the waitlist the box will be red and say ** No Fleets Active**. ====Waitlist==== This section allows you to select the roles you are willing to take, write a comment to the FC, and waitlist up. Once you are on the waitlist you can change your comment or roles by adjusting the appropriate information and clicking **Update**, unless you remove all of your fits, clicking update will not make you loose your place. When you are on the waitlist there will also be a **test poke** button, and it will display what cues you are in, and what your position is in each of those cues. ====Manage Fits===== This section is at the bottom of the waitlist, from here you can have up to five fits saved as active fits. ===Adding a Fit==== <WRAP group> <WRAP half column> to add a fit do the following: - Open your fit window (alt + f) - Drag your fit name into a chat channel and press enter (do this in a private chat) - Right click copy - In the add fit box on the waitlist paste your fit (alt + v) - Click "add" Your fit is now saved on the left, it will be in a white box with the hull type name displayed such as "Vindicator" {{ :guides:waitlistv2:saved_fits.png|}} ===Deleting a Fit=== To delete a fit, simply click the red delete button next to the fit you wish to delete </WRAP> <WRAP half column> {{ :guides:waitlistv2:link_a_fit.gif|}} </WRAP> ===View a Fit=== To do this click the fit you wish to view, it will then open in Osmium. ===Updating a Fit=== Simply delete the fit you no longer want and then add your new fit. If you only have one fit, add your new fit first before deleting your old one. If you have no fits saved you may lose your place in the waitlist. </WRAP> ====What does the FC see?==== * Your Character Name and Character Window - Your name is displayed on the waitlist, and if they click on your picture, it will open your in game character window on their client, this allows them to write private notes and see your corporation. * Your fits - The FC can see your (up to) five fits you waitlisted with. * Wait time - The amount of time in hours and minutes you have been waiting * System - What system you were in last time they updated this page. This is so we do not invite people who are too far away to be of use to the fleet * Comment - Any comment you have made to the FC. {{ :guides:waitlistv2:characterstrip.png |}} //More features may be added with time, this will include items such previous fits, skills etc. This guide will be updated with time.// =====FAQ===== ====Logging In==== **[[guides:crestwaitlist#character_information|For information on the Scopes requested click here]]** **Why do I have to Login Twice?** When you go to log in, you are required to accept a limited amount of permissions to allow the waitlist to work. If you are an FC however we require extra permissions to for fill FC duty's such as CREST invites, so you will be redirected to log in a second time. When this is completed you are fully logged in, you are now able to FC. ====Joining the Waitlist==== **Why do I have to re-tick roles I'm willing to do every time I waitlist?** This is to ensure that all users who tick the boxes for roles are willing and able to do them for the session. This allows us to enforce the fact that people who tick the boxes for roles should volunteer when asked and ends the previous system of everyone ticking the boxes and then claiming they forgot to untick the box and are feeling very tired. This way FCs can give the priority invites (when needed) to the people who are really willing to do the roles. ====Waiting for an Invite==== **I was in position #1 but for DPS but another DPS pilot was invited instead of me, what happened?** Invites are issued at the active FC's discretion. If there is heavy contesting happening, or there is particularly high demand for the fleet, they may choose to occasionally skip basic fits in favour of advanced fits to keep the fleet running fast. **TeamSpeak says "Not Found" but I am on TeamSpeak, what should I do?** Please ensure your TeamSpeak name matches your in-game character name exactly, including spaces, capitals and any symbols, then click the "Re-check" button and the waitlist will attempt to verify that you are online again. **Will I lose my place if I change my fits?** Please ensure you always have at least one fit in your fit management area to avoid losing your waitlist place. If you wish to update a fit, please add the new fit and then delete the old one. You will be warned by the system if removing a fit will lose your waitlist position.
